Features of our gas burners

The features of our gas burners determine how much flame you get and how quickly your forge heats up. The burner diameter ranges from 3.5 to 6 cm, with a working pressure between 1 and 25 PSI. A larger diameter delivers more flame and heats a bigger forge chamber.

If you're unsure about the size, choose a diameter that matches the interior space of your forge. For extra flame power, there is also a version with a compressed air connection for use with a compressor.

Gas burners for your forge or melting furnace

Gas burners for your forge heat your work quickly and evenly. For a gas-fired forge, choose a burner that suits the size of the forge chamber. That way your forge heats up evenly without using unnecessary gas.

Single or double gas burner?

You choose a single or double gas burner based on the size of your forge and the temperature you need. A single burner suits smaller forges and finer work, such as making knives in a compact workshop. You set the flame with the ball valve, keeping control over your consumption.

A double gas burner has two burners and a ball valve that lets you switch on one or both. With two burners, your forge reaches temperature faster and achieves a higher final temperature. That's handy for larger workpieces or long sessions back to back.

Gas burner with a propane or butane cylinder?

A gas burner with a gas cylinder runs on propane, butane or LPG. You connect the burner to the cylinder with a gas hose and pressure regulator. The ball valve on the set lets you adjust and shut off the flame.

If you're working with a hand torch, you'll usually use a gas can or gas cartridge instead of a large cylinder. Before use, always check that the connections are secure and the hose is undamaged. Also make sure your gas cylinder is set up safely and stably.
