A fire pot with or without a blower: the difference lies in how you control the air supply. A blower pushes air up through the bed of coals and drives the temperature up quickly, handy if you work often and with precision. We supply these pots complete, so you can connect them without any hassle and get started.

If you choose a pot without a blower, you control the draught by hand or with bellows, closer to the traditional way of forging. This version is also available as an affordable entry-level model for the beginning blacksmith. Want to scale up later? Then simply order a separate blower to go with your pot.

Which Fire Pot Size Suits You?

The right fire pot size depends on the size of the workpieces you forge. Our pots come in sizes ranging from the compact EE-1 to the spacious EE-7, so there is a suitable model for both small knives and heavier work. The smaller sizes are perfect for a hobby set-up or limited space, while the larger ones give you room when you regularly heat thick material.

If you work with coke, a deeper pot comes into its own; for small pieces and finer work, a shallower pan is enough. Also bear the fuel in mind: which forging coal you burn helps determine how deep and how wide you want your fire to be.

Round Fire Pot or Long Fire Version?

With a fire pot, besides the size you also choose a shape: round or long fire. A round pot concentrates the heat in one spot and is pleasant for most general forging work. A long fire version heats a longer zone.
