Description
The mid-range model in the RIDGID line: 75 kg, with a face measuring 265 by 125 mm and a horn of 185 mm. Enough mass to keep your blows from being absorbed into the ground, yet still movable without lifting equipment.
Material and hardness
A cast anvil is cheaper to produce, but it breaks sooner and gives less rebound. This anvil is forged from steel, which makes it considerably stronger and more durable. The top surface is also machined and hardened, so it stays flat even after years of use.
That means you can forge both hard and softer types of steel on it without damaging the face.
Hardy hole
Unlike the 35 kg model, this anvil has a hardy hole. It holds hardy tools in place, letting you cut off, notch and shape on the anvil itself instead of using separate tools.
