Description
Two closable doors give you more ways to use the forge than a single door. Open the chamber at both ends for long workpieces, or keep it closed for a higher operating temperature.
The dual burner works with a choke and ball valve. The chamber measures 400 by 140 by 140 mm and the forge weighs 12 kg. Welding temperatures of 1,370 °C are achievable.
Burner and air supply
The burners are made of 304 stainless steel and work between 1 and 25 PSI. They arrive pre-set to a neutral flame, after which you fine-tune with the choke.
That choke determines how much air mixes in with the propane. That's what it's all about with a forge: without an adjustable air supply you won't reach top speed, because every working pressure calls for its own air-to-gas ratio.
Lining
A 1-inch ceramic coating on the inside and a floor of ceramic brick.
Fuel
The burners run on butane, propane, a butane and propane mix, and LPG. They do not work on natural gas.
If you use just one burner, close the choke on the other.
