Description
The difference from the valveless version lies in the closable damper. It keeps the heat inside the chamber, so you work at a higher operating temperature with the same gas consumption. The forge weighs 7 kg and has a chamber measuring 250 by 120 by 120 mm.
The burner has a ball valve and a choke. A welding temperature of 1,370 °C is achievable.
Burner and air supply
The burner is made of 304 stainless steel and runs between 1 and 25 PSI. It comes from the factory set to a neutral flame.
With the adjustable choke, you bring the air mixture to the right ratio for your working pressure. Without that option, you'll never get the full temperature out of the forge.
Lining
A 1-inch ceramic coating on the inside, with a floor of ceramic brick.
Fuel
You can run it on butane, propane, a mixture of the two, or LPG. Natural gas is not an option.
