Description
Five kilos, one burner, and a chamber measuring 250 by 140 by 140 mm. This is the lightest forge in the range, making it the one you take outdoors or along to a demonstration. It reaches a welding temperature of 1,370 °C without trouble.
Intended for blacksmiths, farriers, and knifemakers.
Burner and air supply
The burners are made of 304 stainless steel and operate between 1 and 25 PSI. They arrive pre-set to a neutral flame, after which you fine-tune using the choke.
That choke determines how much air mixes in with the propane. This is what a forge is all about: without an adjustable air supply you won't reach top speed, because every working pressure calls for its own air-to-gas ratio.
Lining
The inside features a 1-inch ceramic coating. The floor is made of ceramic brick, which takes on the heaviest load.
Fuel
The burners run on butane, propane, a butane-propane mix, and LPG. They do not run on natural gas.
