Description
At eight and a half litres, the A50 is the largest crucible in the range. Ideal for anyone pouring a substantial amount of metal in a single go. The crucible is made of ceramic and designed for use in the gas melting furnace.
Features
- Heats up quickly and conducts heat evenly
- Leaves little slag behind
- Stands up to chemical stress
- Pouring spout for controlled pouring
- Made in Germany
Use
Moisture in ceramic expands when heated and can cause the crucible to crack. That's why you should heat it for two hours at 200 °C before first use, or after a long period of non-use. Also clean it before and after every session.
