Description
The A4 with 0.6 litre capacity is the size most hobby casters end up choosing. Enough for a workpiece in a single pour, and still easy to handle. The crucible is made of ceramic and intended for use in a gas melting furnace.
Features
- Quick heat-up time
- Uniform heat conduction
- Little slag formation
- Good resistance to chemical stress
- Fitted with a pouring spout
- Made in Germany
Use
If you have just received the crucible, or if it has been unused for a long time, heat it for two hours at 200 °C. This draws the moisture out of the ceramic before you bring it up to temperature. Clean the crucible before and after every use.
